Well we took the plunge and splashed out on a hot air balloon ride! We got picked up this morning at 5:30am, got taken for breakfast and then about 6:45 headed up into the hills, into the fields towards our balloon that was being filled up!
We got into the basket and took off towards the sky! Was amazing there were about 90 other balloons in the sky!!! The highest point we got to was 1,000 metres! Most of the time we floated at about 500-600. We were also taken down into the valleys and could almost reach out and touch the leaves on the branches! Was so amazing, especially with so many other balloons in the sky.
We were meant to be up there sunrise but they were a bit slow. We would have been in the air about an hour which was plenty long enough, we then landed, with help of support crew right on the trailer!!
How lucky we are to be here and able to do this!!
We've spent the rest of the day sitting
on the roof between all the fairy chimneys... We think is the real definition of PURE BLISS!!!
